Join the Signal Walk closed test

Use Signal Walk on your own Android device, try several short field sessions, and tell us what worked, what was confusing, and what broke.

What you need

  • An Android device compatible with the current test build
  • A Google or Google Workspace account used in the Play Store
  • Willingness to remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days
  • Willingness to try the main workflow and provide honest feedback

Requests are reviewed manually. Not every applicant will be approved, and availability may depend on the current test configuration.

What testers should try

  • Start and complete a Walk Capture
  • Review a saved session
  • Test available wireless and sensor channels
  • Create a Redacted or Summary-only export
  • Try the widget if supported
  • Report permission confusion, unavailable readings, visual problems, crashes, or export issues

What happens next

  1. Send the request using the email button.
  2. Signal Walk reviews it and adds approved Google Play accounts to the tester list.
  3. Approved testers receive the Google Play “Join on web” enrollment link.
  4. Opt in and install Signal Walk through Google Play.
  5. Remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and share useful feedback.

If your account is already enrolled in another Signal Walk testing track, follow the enrollment instructions you receive before switching tracks.
